I help small business owners take control of their back office — from bookkeeping and compliance to systems and strategy — so they can focus on running their business.
I've loved accounting since high school. There's something deeply satisfying about taking a mess of numbers and making them make sense — especially a good cleanup, which honestly feels like high-level sudoku to me.
That passion turned into 12 years of hands-on experience across banking, agriculture, and manufacturing — and eventually into a business of my own.
I spent 9 years in one role where I didn't just do the work — I built the processes. The systems and workflows I created are still used there today. That's the kind of work I bring to every client — not just keeping the books, but setting things up in a way that actually works long term.
I started Mahala Business Advisors because I wanted the freedom to be present for my four kids — and because I genuinely love this work and I'm good at it. Building a business that lets me do both has been the goal all along.
